Tie-dye is a term used to describe a number of resist dyeing techniques and the resulting dyed products of these processes. The process of tie-dye typically consists of folding, twisting, pleating, or crumpling fabric or a garment, before binding with string or rubber bands, followed by the application of dye or dyes.
Materials Required:

tub
water
rubber bands
strings
gloves
plastic sheet
scissors
salt
Process:
Prep your supplies, and set up your work area.
Pre-soak your garment in warm salt water for 30 mins, if necessary.
Fold and tie your garment.
Apply the dye.
Let it sit for a couple of hours.
Rinse, wash, and wear your garment.
This was our final assignment, in which we had to tie - dye any 2 garments of ours. I chose my white top and white shorts. I crumpled the white top to give the effect and for the shorts I tied various sizes of beads at different positions. I love how these plain top and shorts look so good now! I just can't wait to wear them. It was fun doing this! You should try it too..
